WHAT IS IT ?

A campaign that starts on 27th January and runs throughout the year which will involve us acting on YOUR behalf to get YOUR views  & feelings made clear to YOUR local Member of Parliament about the smoking ban

WHY DO WE NEED IT ?

It is a well known fact that we have lived with the smoking ban for over a year and a half, and it is also known that this has lead to the closure of many pubs, clubs and bingo halls and many jobs have been lost
BUT
It may surprise you to know that we have found out that MPs are receiving no letters  from unhappy smokers and publicans and so the MPs assume that we are all happy with the ban and no further action is necessary.

HOW THE CAMPAIGN WILL WORK ?

If an MP receives only 6 letters on a single issue it will be taken very seriously. A common problem is that life and commitments often stop people from doing things they really mean to do.
This is how we can help you.
For the cost of a text at £1.50  to cover the costs of stamps and stationery  we will both write a letter to your MP  and follow up with an email to let him/her know that you are not happy with this legislation.
Simply text your name, email details and ideally your address and postcode  to xxxxx so we can send an old fashioned letter to the MP and then the email and a copy of the email will be sent to you.
Once the letters start arriving at the MP’s office they will quickly see that this is an issue that many people really care about.

WHO ARE WE ?

We are a voluntary, non profit making group  of concerned ordinary people – you can meet people like us in any street in any town – fed up with Government not listening to us. We have seen well intentioned but ineffective internet campaigns achieve nothing. We realized that this legislation came from Parliament and that is the ONLY place it can be changed.
